How many silent disco headsets do I need?

The short answer: one headset for every guest who will dance, rounded up to the next box of 25. Most house parties, hens nights and birthdays land on one or two boxes.

Count dancers, not guests

Not everyone dances at once, but everyone wants to try it. Count the people likely to be on the dancefloor at some point in the night and round up. Headsets come in boxes of 25, so:

  • Up to 25 dancers — one box.
  • 26 to 50 dancers — two boxes.
  • More than 50 — larger quantities are available on request. Send your date and numbers through the enquiry form, or see larger events.

Don't forget the transmitter

Every headset hire needs at least one transmitter. It broadcasts your music to every headset, and one transmitter covers every box booked for the same dates. Add a second or third transmitter to run two or three music channels — guests press a button on the headset to switch between them.

What it costs

A box of 25 headsets is $150 for an overnight hire and a transmitter is $15. A typical 40-guest party is two boxes and one transmitter: $315. Every price is shown on the product page before you add it to your cart.

Mixed ages?

The headsets fit children. For a family party, a kids' channel on its own transmitter alongside the adults' channel works well, and every headset has its own volume control.
